Nasrin, joined 2014

I started as a Trading Assistant in Sales and now lead the Commercial Team. The business has supported me to pursue my ambitions and take on roles that will progress my career.

I think it is important to maintain a positive attitude and outlook regardless of the hurdles and challenges that you face. A positive mind always helps you deliver better outcomes for yourself and for your team.

Phil, joined in 2014

I started in a role as a Web Designer, moving into leading the frontend design and development side of the Department. Flexibility is important for the growth of the Group and of the individual. As individuals adopt a flexible approach to their work and their output, they improve their own skill-set, and offer a wider range of expertise to the business.

Lauren, joined in 2014

I started as an Apprentice in the Finance department. With the help and support from the business, I completed my apprenticeship and am now part of the Supply Team working as a Supply Chain Analyst. The business looks to support employee’s ambitions, helping them to develop in their careers through training opportunities and additional responsibilities that help grow their confidence.

Louis, joined in 2016

I started in the role of Buyer supporting the Trading Manager in order placement and managing some branded relationships. I now hold full responsibility for all branded relationships and lead on integrating new brands and categories into the Group portfolio. One of the key characteristics needed to succeed in the business is open mindedness. This means, not only being prepared to take on board the views of both brands and retailers, but also being receptive to new directions that the business takes. As the Group seeks out further opportunities for growth it is important to maintain an open mind.

Asif, joined in 2014

I started working for G2S Limited 6 years ago as a Management Accountant. When I first joined, I worked in a small team of 4 people, which allowed me to work ‘hands on’, focusing on many different tasks. This meant I could broaden my skills and learn new aspects of the business.

I was promoted to Financial Controller at the start of 2019 and I now manage a team of 7. Working here has allowed me to further my own expertise, as well as help support and build the skillset of my own team.

Christian, joined in 2017

I started as a Business Systems Integrator. During this time, I have been involved in a number of large development projects that have allowed me to integrate new systems that will benefit the future growth of the business. It is important to be fully committed to everything you are working on, no matter the size or scale. It means you can be proud of what you produce, be confident in its success and learn the most from the journey. Whether it is just for your team or across different departments, being committed shows you are someone others can depend on.
