Great British Business Campaign – Go Live!

25th July 2018

Earlier this year The Matchstick Men Group were approached and signed up to an exciting opportunity to be part of the Great British Business Campaign via the Telegraph online.

This is a campaign fronted by Natasha Kaplinsky OBE (well-known newsreader, television presenter and the winner of the first series of Strictly Come Dancing) and distributed by The Telegraph online.

The initiative is designed to bring attention and support to over 5m small and medium sized businesses in the UK who are making a huge contribution to the economy and largely go unnoticed. It was a great opportunity which we didn’t want to miss!

Our Design & Trade team took the lead on creating our video campaign which has featured a number of our staff across all departments

The link to our campaign has now gone live and you can see our campaign on The Telegraph website here.

We hope you enjoy it and a big thank you to everyone who has contributed.

George Foreman BBQ launch

31st May 2018

To celebrate the launch of our new George Foreman BBQ range, we held a BBQ launch party at our Hindley Green site. Demonstrating a number of products from the range, we cooked up a feast and held a raffle to raise money for our chosen charity, Inspire Youth Zone in Chorley.

It was a glorious sunny day in the North West, the food was delicious and everyone had a great lunch together. Rufus our office dog was excited to receive a couple of meaty treats that ‘escaped’ from the BBQ. To top it off, we raised a total of £665 for charity!

They were able to recommend a number of key partners who could help us to upgrade our energy transformers and lighting at the site we own in Hindley Green. These upgrades have resulted in significant cost savings and reduced our carbon emissions.
